About: AGYM 32-Inch Sisal Cat Scratching Post

The post that most AGYM homes start with: natural sisal rope on a wood core, 32 inches tall so a grown cat can hang off it at full stretch, and a 15 × 13.8-inch base that keeps it from rocking. Two posts and two planks screw together with the included screwdriver.

Why a tall sisal post works

Cats scratch to stretch their backs, mark their spot and shed the old outer layer of their claws. A short post makes them crouch; a 32-inch one lets an adult cat reach up and pull down the way it does on the back of a couch. Sisal rope gives the rough, shreddable feel that fabric gives — which is why it can lure claws off the furniture.

Unlike cardboard, sisal doesn't drop crumbs. When the rope gets fluffy after months of use, that's the sign it's doing its job.

★★★★★Sturdy & Stable

Just big enough for my 13lb Maine Coon mix. Sisal mats rather than jute rope, so should be easier to replace when he wears it out, if I can find the right size. My cat likes sitting next to me when I am crocheting sitting down, and this is the perfect height to keep him off of my side table. He has been enjoying it since I set it up, scratching it immediately. Seems like it will last a very long time.

★★★★★Nice one

Easy to put together, sturdy, and a good size. It feels stable and the material seems durable. Looks nice in the room too. Very happy with it so far.

★★★★★Awesome in every way.

My cats love this post. They like to stretch when using a scratching post and this one provides plenty of vertical room. It looks fantastic, too. Best of all......it does not shred like other posts. Well worth the price. Another plus is that it keeps their claws short and rounded. I trim my 3 cats claws every week. After buying this post all 3 cats have short claws and I barely have to clip them.

★★★★★Good tower

My 2 Large Persian Cats like it. Not too big, attractive and does the job. Would buy again. I used a catnip spray to attract my cats to the scratcher. Worked right away. Keeps them off the furniture and carpet when they feel like stretching and clawing something.

★★★★★Best cat scratching post

Best scratching post we have ever found. All of our cats use it(7 of them). The stand never shows wear or damage no matter how the cats handle it. Tried a number of other scratching posts but none stood up to the scratching for long. We now have 4 of these posts for other cats we take care of. Great product!
