Setting up an 80-inch wall-mounted cat tree

A floor-to-ceiling tower goes up without drilling — as long as you measure first.

Measure the ceiling

The tower is 80 inches tall and is held in place by tension between floor and ceiling. Measure your room height before ordering, and pick a spot with a solid, flat ceiling — not a light fitting or a sloped area.

Pick the corner

Next to a window is ideal: cats climb to watch. Keep it away from doors that swing and from shelves a cat could launch onto.

Tighten, then test

Turn the tension mount until the column doesn't move when you pull on a perch. Check it again after the first week, when the pads have settled.
